Dan + Shay is an American country pop music duo that comprises singers Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney. They have been signed to Warner Records in Nashville and have produced four different albums since 2013. Some of their albums include hits like Where It All Began, Obsessed, and Good Things. They have also released nine singles, of which five have charted on the Hot Country Songs chart nationally.
Despite their popularity for their music, they have also made quite the name for themselves as a band that collaborated with other famous artists. These names include greats like Justin Bieber, the Rascal Flatts, Lindsey Stirling, RaeLynn, and Kelly Clarkson. For their work, Dan + Shay has been honored with three consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their songs "Tequila," "Speechless," and "10,000 Hours". In addition, they were also awarded two iHeartRadio Music Awards after their song "Tequila" reached over 1 billion audience spins.
Aside from their professional careers, Dan and Shay have been involved in other pursuits. Personally, Shay Mooney has two sons with his wife, Hannah Billingsley. Dan Smyers has been in a relationship with Abby Law for years, and they are now married. Together, they donate their time to support Wags & Walks Rescue Nashville to help give shelter dogs forever homes. As a family, they currently have five dogs at home.
