Lord Huron, formed by Los Angeles-based artist Ben Schneider in 2010, began as a solo project with two independently released EPs: Into the Sun and Mighty. As interest in live shows grew, Schneider brought on longtime friends Mark Barry (percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass), and Tom Renaud (guitar)—a group that had played music together since childhood. Their chemistry helped evolve Lord Huron into a dynamic full-band experience.
The band’s debut album, Lonesome Dreams, arrived in 2012, followed by Strange Trails in 2015, which featured the breakout multi-platinum hit “The Night We Met.” The song became one of Spotify’s Top 40 most-streamed tracks of all time, cementing the band’s place in indie music history.
In 2018, Lord Huron released Vide Noir, earning critical acclaim and a Top 5 spot on the Billboard 200. Their latest LP, Long Lost, received praise from major outlets like NPR, Time, Spin, Stereogum, and The Los Angeles Times. The band also delivered memorable performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CBS This Morning: Saturday, and more.
