Annie Mac, Irish DJ, radio presenter, and advocate of UK dance music, was born in Dublin in 1978. Growing up in a music-oriented family, her brother's role as the lead singer for the Crimea deeply influenced her. While studying English Literature at Queens University in Belfast, she discovered her passion for dance music at Shine club. Pursuing radio, she earned a Master's degree at Farnborough College of Technology. Joining BBC Radio 1, she launched the Annie Mac show, elevating her career. Her impact expanded with Annie Mac Presents and a broader music showcase post-2014.
