Noah Thompson is an American singer who is the twentieth season winner of American Idol. Noah was born in 2002 in Huntington in West Virginia. After attending high school in Louisa Kentucky, he would work as a construction worker, covering songs on his YouTube channel. He would begin to cover and perform some of his original songs as well, including original tracks such as “Not a Phase”, “Pedestal”, and “Heart Painted Black”. He did not intend to even try out for the show, as he was pleased with where he was, but his friend signed him up for the audition and he had to go.
For much of his musical influences, he was raised in a more rural environment, where country music and bluegrass stars were from. Locals in the area began calling Noah as well as Ricky Skaggs and Larry Cordle “The Million Dollar Holler Boys” because of their musical talents. Since his win on American Idol, he has released two singles: “One Day Tonight” and “Stay”. Even though he still starting out in the industry, he is becoming a notable individual and people expect great things from him as he's preparing to release his debut album.
