KATSEYE are not just breaking the mold — they’re making their own. The first global girl group built through K-pop training systems, they unite six members from around the world: Daniela (Cuban/Venezuelan-American, Atlanta), Lara (Indian, New York), Manon (Ghanaian-Italian, Zurich), Megan (Chinese-American, Honolulu), Sophia (Philippines), and Yoonchae (South Korea). Their name mirrors a cat’s-eye gem: prismatic, shifting, and never the same twice.
Formed through HYBE and Geffen’s Dream Academy program — later chronicled in the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE — the group emerged from 120,000 audition submissions and years of training. That rigorous process forged a sisterhood and sharpened their skills, yielding a sound that thrives in contrasts: soft and strong, polished and rebellious.
Their debut single “Debut” (2024) set the tone, followed by the viral, TikTok-driven “Touch,” which charted globally and showcased their emotional depth. Those tracks fed into their first EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), an early exploration of duality.
In 2025, KATSEYE leveled up with their second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, a bold record about girlhood, identity, and living in the digital age. Collaborating with Justin Tranter, Andrew Watt, John Ryan, and Kristin Carpenter, the members took a larger role in production, infusing the project with their own voices. Lead single “Gnarly” brought their first Billboard Hot 100 entry, pairing irreverent lyrics with club-ready beats. Other highlights include “Gabriela,” blending Spanish verses and Gen Z attitude; “Gameboy,” a playful cousin to “Touch”; and “M.I.A,” driven by haunting Indian-influenced chords.
Through their music, fashion collaborations, and global presence, KATSEYE aim for more than chart success. “We want timeless influence,” Lara says. “Not just for now — forever.”
