Jimmie Vaughan is a Texas blues guitarist who helped bring roadhouse blues and R&B to national audiences in the late twentieth century. Known for his tough, economical playing style, Vaughan first gained prominence as co-leader of the Fabulous Thunderbirds alongside vocalist and harmonica player Kim Wilson. From 1979 through the late 1980s, the band became a fixture of the Texas club circuit before achieving mainstream success with the million-selling album Tuff Enuff.
