Jhené Aiko is an American singer who first began assisting with B2K's vocals in the background. She was only known at that time as Lil' Fizz's "cousin," although they are of no relation to one another. Born and raised in South Los Angeles, she would grow up being homeschooled until high school.Her sister is the famous Mila J, another singer in the industry. When she was younger, she would take vocal lessons in Culver City but quit because she ended up pregnant.At twenty years old, she gave birth to Namiko Love Browner's baby girl.
Throughout her career, she worked alongside another artist in the early 2000s, but she would branch out and begin her solo career in the 2010s. Her first album, Souled Out, would be released in 2014. She has two other studio albums that she has released since then. Additionally, Jhené Aiko has also headlined three tours while supporting significant artists. She has supported J. Cole, Drake, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, and Wiz Khalifa, Lana Del Rey, and even Beyoncé and Jay-Z on their On the Run II tour of 2018.
Jhené Aiko has also been nominated for several awards over her career. In 2014, she won the Centric Award for her song "The Worst," She also won an award for Outstanding Album for Chilombo in 2021.
