Grace Bowers is an 18-year-old, award-winning guitarist, singer-songwriter, and bandleader experiencing a meteoric rise. Her debut album, Wine On Venus, produced by John Osborne of Brothers Osborne, was released independently and met with widespread acclaim, with Forbes calling it “an infectious, joyous party” and Rolling Stone hailing Bowers as “Nashville’s new guitar hero.”
Bowers honed her skills playing dive bars, drawing inspiration from B.B. King’s blues and the soulful funk of Sly and the Family Stone. Her breakthrough arrived when videos of her guitar performances went viral on social media during the pandemic. Since then, she has become one of the most in-demand and celebrated young guitarists, inspiring a new generation of women worldwide.
Grace recently performed at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards alongside Chris Martin of Coldplay and appeared at Love Rocks NYC with Peter Frampton and Trey Anastasio at the Beacon Theatre. She received the Variety Next Gen Award at the publication’s annual Hitmakers event in Los Angeles. She also made her late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and appeared on CBS Mornings, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and NPR’s All Things Considered. Over the past year, she toured with The Red Clay Strays, Gary Clark Jr., Slash, and The Roots, while also headlining sold-out shows in Japan, New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond. Her festival appearances include Bourbon & Beyond, Telluride Blues & Brews, BottleRock, Sea.Hear.Now., Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival, and Nashville’s “Let Freedom Sing” Fourth of July concert.
Adding to her accomplishments, Grace won Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards, made her Grand Ole Opry debut on her eighteenth birthday, and was named a U.S. Global Music Ambassador by the U.S. Department of State and YouTube’s Global Music Diplomacy Initiative. She has performed with Dolly Parton on CBS, joined Lainey Wilson for CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live celebration, collaborated with artists ranging from Tyler Childers to Susan Tedeschi, and proudly raised $30,000 through her second annual “Grace Bowers & Friends” benefit show, supporting MusiCares.
