Born in New Orleans but raised in Bermuda, Collie Buddz, the dancehall sensation, was immersed in the vibrant musical tapestry of his island home, particularly drawn to dancehall, soca, and hip-hop. His breakout track "Come Around," produced by his DJ brother, gained international acclaim, dominating charts in Europe and the U.K. before making its mark in Jamaica. The unauthorized remix by Busta Rhymes propelled it on American radio. Collie's collaboration with Sony began with a remix of Beyoncé's "Ring the Alarm." His self-titled debut album and the hit "Mamacita" were released in 2007, followed by the EP Playback in 2011. After a hiatus, he returned in 2017 with "Good Life," featuring notable artists, and in 2019, he unveiled his self-produced third album, "Hybrid," topping the U.S. Reggae chart.
