Born and raised in Chicago, singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae emerged in the late 2010s with genre-blending EPs that drew from house, synth-funk, and R&B. Her 2018 EP Crush, featuring the standout track “Sticky,” marked a breakout moment. In 2022, she released her full-length debut HYPNOS on Atlantic Records, earning critical acclaim with contributions from Steve Lacy, Monte Booker, and Kaytranada.
Her 2024 follow-up album, Bird’s Eye, executive produced by Grammy-winner Dahi (Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Kelela), reflects a bold evolution. Weaving together influences like Fleetwood Mac, Janet Jackson, and No Doubt with her R&B foundation, the album showcases an artist embracing transformation.
