Purple Disco Machine is a German disco in-house music producer, as well as DJ. While Purple Disco Machine is just his stage name, he was born as Tino Piontek. Growing up in East Germany, he would begin to know a lot about western rock through his father. He would begin to work with synthesizers and other technology in the 1990s when he discovered house music while living in Dresden and experiencing their night scene. Following this, he would become heavily involved in house music and become a DJ himself in the early 2010s.
After becoming a DJ, himself,Purple Disco Machine would begin making his first production in 2012. His international performances would begin in 2017, and his first debut album to be released through Sony in 2017. To this day, he continues to make significant remixes and productions, such as official remixes of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” and Lady Gaga’s “Rain on Me”. He even has his own show on Studio 54 on SiriusXM, titled “Purple Disco Tales”.
Since his start, he has released three different studio albums, with the latest being released in December of 2021, titled Club Exotica. He has also released highly successful remixes and compilations in the past as well, including six different extended plays. Since 2012, he has released over a dozen different remixes of different songs that have topped the charts across the world. To this day, he continues to be a major influence in the electronic and disco music industry.
