Her acclaimed creations have sold out venues ranging from New York’s Lincoln Center and Berlin’s Bar Jeder Vernunft to London’s West End and the Sydney Opera House.
Named one of The New Yorker’s “Top Performers of the Year,” the crowd-surfing tragi-comedienne has been hailed as “sensational” (The Times, UK), “a diva of the highest order” (New York Post), “The Queen of Chanson” (Berliner Zeitung), and “a phenomenon” by the Australian press. Her award-winning solo works have been curated by cultural icons including David Bowie, Pina Bausch, and Mikhail Baryshnikov, and presented at major international festivals.
A prolific creator across music, theatre, and dance-theatre, Meow Meow is also renowned for her interpretations of Weimar repertoire and French chanson. She has performed leading works by Kurt Weill with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Australian Chamber Orchestra, and Bergen Philharmonic, and has appeared in contemporary and classical repertoire across Australia, Europe, the UK, and the United States.
Recent highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center’s American Songbook Series, the Kennedy Center, Davies Symphony Hall, and Berlin’s Konzerthaus, as well as acclaimed collaborations with Barry Humphries and the Aurora Orchestra at the Barbican. Her theatrical work spans opera, West End productions, Shakespeare’s Globe, and collaborations with directors Emma Rice, Ted Huffman, and John Cameron Mitchell.
