Matt Iseman is an American comedian, actor, TV host, and physician. He was born in Denver, Colorado, and would study at Princeton University for his bachelor's before attending Columbia for his medical degree. After that, he would study internal medicine in Denver before he relocated to Los Angeles. In the early 2000s, he would make his break into stand-up comedy.
Iseman would begin doing stand-up comedy with the improvisational comedy trope, The Groundlings, in 2002. After that, he would become a full-time professional comedian. Due to his medical background, he would also use his medical knowledge to earn him comedy gigs with medical and health organizations. He even performed at USO shows in Afghanistan, South Korea, Bosnia, and Hungary.
As an actor, Matt Iseman has also been successful. He has made appearances on General Hospital, The League, Hot in Cleveland, Clean House, American Ninja Warrior, Home & Family, The New Celebrity Apprentice, and RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race. In his personal life, he is a cancer survivor and an avid advocate for sharing the stories of fighting cancer to instill hope in others.
