Kevin Cronin is widely recognized as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the classic rock band REO Speedwagon. He first joined the group in the early 1970s, making his debut on the band’s second album, R.E.O./T.W.O. (1972). Though his initial tenure with the band was brief, Cronin returned in 1976 for their self-titled album R.E.O., solidifying his place as the group’s longtime frontman.
During the height of REO Speedwagon’s success in the late 1970s and 1980s, Cronin’s soaring vocals and songwriting helped define the band’s sound and catapult them into mainstream stardom.
