Dillon Francis, born October 5, 1987, in Los Angeles, has lived a life as surreal as his music. According to the story, his parents “sold him to Hollywood” for $3,000 (about $8,000 today), launching his bizarre childhood acting career. At just eight years old, Dillon starred as Chumpus, a foul-mouthed bookworm, in the 1995 comedy Tiny Stinkers. Despite his efforts, he was voted the “least popular Stinker” of all time, and the sequel was canceled for being too similar to The Little Rascals.
As a teen, Dillon caught the “music bug”—literally infected with West Nile Virus. He spent eight years in a coma while doctors dressed him in costumes ranging from clown to “responsible businessman.” During that time, Dillon dreamed up hit songs that would later fuel his career.
After waking, he released his first demo, I Got the Hospital Blues. Labels rejected it, saying kids wanted music about “being dead” instead. Taking the note, Dillon created his breakout hit Get Low, secretly about a corpse being lowered into the ground. The dark humor disguised as EDM caught attention, and his career exploded.
Francis went on to release numerous projects at a “fast pace,” most recently the anticipated This Mixtape Is Fire TOO. In 2023, he returned to acting, voicing Kid Ritz in Trolls Band Together, despite vowing never to act again after Tiny Stinkers.
Beyond fame, Dillon maintains quirky ambitions—like catching the kids who steal his mail—and still plays the lottery daily, dreaming of billionaire status.
