Boris Brejcha, born in 1981 in Ludwigshafen, Germany, turned personal tragedy into musical triumph. After surviving the Ramstein air disaster at age six and enduring months of recovery from severe burns, Boris found solace in music. Teased for his scars, he retreated into creativity, discovering electronic music through a “Thunderdome” CD and began producing his own tracks by age twelve.
His breakthrough came in 2006 with his first releases and live performance at Brazil’s Universo Paralello Festival. There, he debuted his signature Joker mask, inspired by Brazilian Carnival. Boris quickly gained international attention, performing across South America, Russia, and beyond. He coined his unique style “High-Tech Minimal” and released music on labels like Autist Records and Harthouse. In 2007, Raveline magazine named him an “exceptional talent.”
In 2015, Boris launched his own label, Fckng Serious, and his career skyrocketed. His performances for Cercle and Tomorrowland garnered over 140 million YouTube views. Today, Boris plays only his own music at shows, captivating crowds at sold-out venues and top festivals worldwide. He also tours with his label crew across Europe in a nightliner bus.
Beyond music, Boris runs a successful fashion brand and delights fans with his collectible Joker-mask squeaky ducks, which he hides in cities across the globe.
