About B.I

South Korean singer and rapper B.I rose to fame in the late 2010s as the leader of K-pop group iKON before launching a successful solo career. Born Kim Han-bin in Cheonan, he trained under YG Entertainment and competed on Show Me the Money 3 in 2014, leading to iKON’s debut. As leader, producer, and songwriter, B.I helped drive the group’s immediate success, including their 2015 album Welcome Back, which topped Korea’s Gaon chart. After a busy stretch of tours and releases, he left iKON in 2019 but continued to be credited on projects like their 2020 EP I Decide.

B.I began his solo journey with a feature on Epik High’s “Acceptance Speech,” followed by his own single album Midnight Blue (Love Streaming) in early 2021. His full-length solo debut, Waterfall, arrived that June, reaching number six on the Gaon chart, led by the hit “Illa Illa.” Acting as both songwriter and executive producer, he continued to build momentum with Cosmos, the first part of his next project. In 2022, B.I released singles like “BTBT” featuring Soulja Boy and DeVita and “Keep Me Up,” both included on his EP Love or Loved, Pt. 1.
