A pivotal figure in mid-'80s synth pop, Howard Jones fused new wave's tech-driven sound with hippie-era optimism and '60s pop. Hailing from Southampton, England, Jones started piano at seven, later joining Canadian band Warrior. Returning to England, he delved into various musical groups, then pursued studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. Transitioning to solo work with synthesizers and drum machines, Jones incorporated mime Jed Hoile into his performances. Noticed by John Peel, Jones landed BBC sessions and opened for new wave acts, ultimately signing with WEA in England and Europe, and Elektra in the US by 1983.
Back in the driver’s seat, Felder released "American Rock ’N’ Roll" in April 2019, his first solo album in seven years. Comprising 11 high-energy rockers and poignant ballads, it features A-list contributors like Slash, Sammy Hagar, and Peter Frampton. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member since 1998 with the Eagles, Felder was also inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum (2016) and the Florida Artists Hall of Fame (2017). Having spent 27 years with the Eagles, he played a pivotal role in creating the top-selling album of all time, "Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)." Felder's 2008 memoir, "Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles (1974-2001)," was a New York Times bestseller.
