Josh Gondelman is a New York-based writer and comedian, formerly head writer and executive producer for Desus & Mero on Showtime. He also contributed to the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and spent five years at Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, earning four Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and three WGA Awards.
Josh’s stand-up special People Pleaser (2022) is streaming now, and he’s appeared on Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Late Show with James Corden. His voice is familiar to NPR listeners from Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me. He authored the essay collection Nice Try and co-authored You Blew It with Joe Berkowitz.
A co-creator of the viral Modern Seinfeld Twitter account, Gondelman also released comedy albums Dancing on a Weeknight and Physical Whisper, the latter debuting at #1 on iTunes. His writing has appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and New York Magazine, and he once hosted the charming podcast game show Make My Day.
