Spawn from the outskirts of Los Angeles, the band features lead vocalist, Daniel Alan along with the quick-pickin', slide skills of Johnny Hawthorn on lead guitar. W. Scott Felton drives the rhythms on second guitar opposite the rolling thunder of Eric Sachs on bass and powerhouse drumming of Rob Jones, who round out the rhythm section.
Not just another rehashed “Saloon Band”, HIGHWAY STARR has raised the standard by combining the music, attitude and showmanship in their concert style shows throughout the region. In 2017 band members, Daniel Alan and Rob Jones both survived the Las Vegas, Route 91 Festival Concert Shooting. Just weeks after the massacre, HIGHWAY STARR helped to raise more than $10,000 for local Ventura County victims and their families by headlining a benefit concert with other local artists in support.
