Flowers, now known as Icehouse, is an Australian rock band that was formed in Sydney in 1977. They would go by the name Flowers until 1981, producing music in the rock and new wave genres. They became known in Australia for their pub rock style, and they would gain mainstream success, hitting the top ten charts in locations across America and Europe.
The band currently consists of Iva Davies, Paul Wheeler, Paul Gildea, Steve Bull, Michael Paynter, and Hugo Lee. Flowers' use of synthesizers would become an instrumental part of several of their top hits, including "Love in Motion." Other notable hits of theirs include the famous tracks "Great Southern Land," "Crazy," and "Hey Little Girl."
