Demna, also known as Demna Gvasalia, is a Georgian fashion designer. He is the current creative director of Balenciaga, and he is also the co-founder of Vetements. They would escape the Russo-Georgian War in Abkhazia, but they would be forced to live in Tbilisi before eventually moving to Düsseldorf in 2001.

After that, he would be appointed the senior designer of the women’s ready-to-wear collections at Louis Vuitton.
In 2014, Demna would launch Vetements with his brother, Guram. They would display their work at small gay clubs around Paris. His original purpose is that he wanted to subvert the status quo for high fashion. He presented his collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2014. He would be nominated for LVMH’s Young Fashion Designer Prize for three collections.
More recently, he would succeed Alexander Wang as the creative director of Balenciaga in 2015. He would also collaborate with Kanye West for his Donda album listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
