Andrew Yang is the son of Taiwanese immigrants. He spent much of his childhood in Somers in New York. He was also a student at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire during his high school years. He would attend Brown University and Columbia Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 1999. From there, he would work as a corporate attorney. In 2000, he would leave and create his startup before the dot-com bubble burst in 2002.
Much of Andrew Yang’s work has been in notable corporate investment and startups. He has worked extensively with creating and helping outstanding influence organizations, such as Venture for America and Manhattan Prep. He would announce in 2020 that he would run for president but would shortly suspend his campaign in the middle of the primaries. First, however, he would create the Humanity Forward Foundation, targeted at achieving the same goals he had during his campaign.
Yang is estimated to be worth about an average of $2 million from all of his investments and his business projects. He was named the "Champion of Change" by the Obama administration, and he was also selected as the Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship in 2015. He is married to Evelyn Yang in his personal life, and they have two sons together.
