Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Babyface ruled the charts in the ’90s with his smooth R&B sound. He’s also crafted hits for everyone from Madonna and Boyz II Men to Eric Clapton and Fall Out Boy.
Bassem Youssef is an Egyptian comedian, writer, producer, doctor, media critic, and television host. He has numerous hats that he wears, and in his career, he is highly accomplished. He studied at the Cairo University Faculty of Medicine and majored in cardiothoracic surgery in 1998, and passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination. He's also been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons since 2007.
After the Egyptian revolution in 2011, he was inspired to create his first satirical show. He would create The B+ Show, inspired by his blood type, and upload five-minute episodes to his YouTube channel. He would receive more than 5 million views in the first 90 days. He would be invited to appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2012, and it was one of the highest views on the website.
He has lived in the United States since 2014, and he took part in numerous productions and shows. He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University's Center for Democracy, Development, and Rule of Law. He also created a podcast, Remade in America, which would debut in 2018. He was named one of the "100 most influential people in the world" according to Time magazine in 2013 and Foreign Policy’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers. He is married, and they have two children, and he does not intend on returning to Egypt any time soon.
