Artist Manager and Content Producer - Magic


Who we are: We are forming a new company specializing in all things magic- from producing TV shows and specials to management of the best new magic talent. We are also building out streaming, social, and merch channels and are looking to quickly be the top magic-focused company in the world.

The company’s principals are well-established and respected executives with decades of experience in TV production and live events. We have just completed production on our first 8-episode multi-magician TV series (Underground Magic)  and are planning to shoot half a dozen one-hours late this summer. In between, we are looking to build magic tours and our streaming infrastructure.

Who you are: Entrepreneurial, motivated, organized, proactive. As a new company, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter and capable of wearing many hats as we build a company with a great small team.


Job Title: Artist Manager and Content Producer - Magic
Where: New York City 

Direct Report: Managing Directors
Pay Scale: $70,000 + commission

Benefits: Eligibility for company benefits plan begins 90 days after start date


Desired qualifications (the position is omnibus in nature, so one or more of these is preferred, however, we realize not every candidate will have most of these):

  • Experience in live entertainment (of any variety) booking
  • Experience in artist management
  • Knowledge of OTT/streaming and/or social media distribution and marketing
  • Passion and knowledge of any aspect of the current magic industry (not required)
  • Someone who is interested in long-term growth within the company to a producer position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to prioritize action items
  • Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work quickly and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail orientated with a high standard for quality and able to multitask and manage multiple campaigns and projects at once.
  • Experience handling highly confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Project management experience
  • Superior time management skills and organization
  • Computer proficiency - MS Office Suite; Google (Docs / Sheets), Mac OS
  • General understanding of contract agreements
  • Interest and/or experience in communications and public relations
  • Friendly, assertive, self-starter with a professional demeanor

Education Level:  Bachelor’s Degree strongly suggested

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Booking of magic talent on national tours and for private events
  • Attend performances for evaluation and research of demographics for possible future local, regional, and national touring acts.
  • Helping to identify the best magic talent to represent
  • Acquiring and producing magic content for our streaming and social channels
  • Working with our design team to develop brand and materials
  • Support Managing Directors in media production needs
  • Maintain and utilize data/networking via Pollstar or other entertainment memberships
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, sources, and artists related to this field.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Please note most headline / big name artists are 100K and above. Most of the dance bands for weddings are in the 10k - 20k range. We do require a range for us to explore this with you. Thank you.
