Mel Robbins is an American lawyer, TV host, author, and motivational speaker. She is best known for her coverage of the George Zimmerman trial on VNN as well as her TEDx Talk, How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over. She’s also written numerous books including The 5 Second Rule and The High 5 Habit. She’s also a podcaster with multiple episodes and shows that she contributes to on a regular basis.
Prior to her career as a motivational speaker, she attended Dartmouth College and Boston College Law School. She would receive her J.D. degree in 1994 before she would begin working for CNN as a legal analyst. She would work as a criminal justice defense attorney as well. Several of her books have become the most well-known Audible books on Amazon, and among the most listened to or read when they were released.
In her personal life, she is married to Christopher Robbins and the couple has three children together. She hosted her show, The Mel Robbins Show, which premiered in 2019. She is currently creating new content to share with her audience, and she received a Gracie Award for Outstanding Host-News/Non-Fiction in 2014.
