Baseball Rocks! …with Zachary

Cracker Jacks and sunflower seeds, getting your photo taken at the new Target Field, anyway you look at it, Zachary’s baseball themed Bar Mitzvah party was a Grandslam!  Everyone had a great time celebrating with Zachary a few weeks ago at the Sheraton West.  Total Entertainment put on a great show keeping everyone busy on the dance floor including a very eager group of adults.  I always love it when the adults let loose a bit on the dance floor.   My crew and I put together a custom photo booth so Zachary and his guests could get their photos taken at Target Field.  The combination of some fun props and wild imaginations really made for some photos.  It was a huge hit and made some great memories for the family.  We captured a lot of fun photos from the evening and I picked out some of my favorites for the video which is set to a classic baseball tune.

Enjoy the video and hit the link after for the full photo by photo replay of Zachary’s big game.   Mazel Tov to Zachary on his Bar Mitzvah.

Happy 60th to Reva and Ben

I want to wish Reva and Ben a very happy 60th Anniversary. I had the pleasure of doing some family portraits before their reception two weeks ago. We got some great family photos and even though the heat caused a bit more excitement then we had planned,  I trust that everyone enjoyed Reva and Ben’s special evening.  They are a wonderful couple and I can only hope my wife and I can match their success some day.

Rock On Jordan!

The classic Varisity Theater in Dinkytown was the place to be for Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah celebration.   And wow, what a venue.  This was my first time photographing there and it really made for some great atmosphere from the minute you walked in.  Jordan and family arrived via a big party bus out front by the marquee and the party was on. Klezmerica was the first band on stage for the evening featuring some great Klezmer music that warmed up the crowd during cocktail hour.  They capped off their performance with a rousing Horah that filled the entire dance floor with friends and family.  Jordan’s father and uncles really put on a great show in the center of all the action.  Once everyone cooled off, a former music teacher of Jordan’s came up on stage to perform a special song written in Jordan’s honor.  A wonderful dinner was served and after everyone had a chance to relax for a bit it was time to Rock On!  The Road Crew, a band made up of students and friends of Jordan’s from the School of Rock fired up the amps and put on a fantastic rock and roll show with some classic tunes.   For the big finale, Jordan joined his friends up on stage playing guitar and house went wild. It was an extremely fun evening and I think we got some fantastic photography for Jordan and his family to remember it by.  Check out the video for fun look back and the hit the link to see all great photos from Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah weekend.  Mazel Tov to Jordan!

Emily’s Bat Mitzvah

Mazel Tov to Emily on her Bat Mitzvah.  I had a great time photographing her party at Oak Ridge Country Club a few weeks back.  We started out with some fun extended family photos before the majority of Emily’s guests arrived.  Emily’s little cousin Ben kinda stole the show.  Ross and A-List Entertainment was in the house to keep things rock’in and did a fantastic job as always.  It was a great dancing crowd with some guest hitting the dance floor very early on.  A very nice dinner was served and then Emily’s Aunt and Uncle put on a great show singing some very special songs in Emily’s honor.  A-List cranked things up a notch later with a Horah and then some classic tunes to keep the crowd shaking the dance floor.  It was good time on a wonderful evening for Emily.  Check out the video for a fun recap of the evening and hit the link to see all the fun photos from Emily’s Bat Mitzvah weekend.  Enjoy.

Air Jake at Discovery Bay

It was a high-flying time in the Discovery Bay auditorium at the Minnesota Zoo, for Jake’s Bar Mitzvah celebration. It’s  always a fun venue with sharks, dolphins and all sorts of sea creatures in attendance. The party got of to a quick start with games and dancing lead by David Baer and his DJ crew. They got the house rocking with a grand entrance for Jake.  Everyone gave Jake a warm reception for the great job he did earlier in the day. The Mummy wrap game was a big hit with the kids and after dinner the ice cream sunday bar was put out for everyone to enjoy.  More dancing and a rousing Horah finished off the evening in grand style.

I’ve been working with Jake’s family for a number of years now, it’s always been a pleasure and this time around was no exception. I had a wonderful time doing portraits for Jake and his family. Special thanks to my friend Myron for capturing some great photography of Jake’s party as I was booked with Emily’s family for this evening.
