Banda MS, also known as Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, is a Mexican Banda from Mazatlán, Sinaloa. They were first created in 2003 and their name, MS, stands for their origin city. The band was created by Sergio and Alberto Lizarraga, who are members of the group alongside Alan Ramírez, Oswaldo Silvas, Jairo Osuna, Pavel Ocampo, Elías Nordahl Piña, David Casto Lejarza, and numerous others. They are a large band, and one of the largest currently in the Mexican Banda genre.
Banda MS has numerous instruments and vocalists, featuring players for the clarinet, trumpet, trombone, drums, tuba, and other instruments. They have released more than a dozen albums with their first being No podrás, and their most recent being from 2020 when they released El Trabajo Es la Suerte. Over the course of the band’s career, they have been nominated and won numerous awards. Some of the most notable have included Premios De La Radio, Latin Grammys, and others. They have won the Premios Banda Max Most Requested Video Award, and won the same award, but for Song of the Year in 2014. They have also won Billboard Latin Music Awards, earning awards for the Hottest Latin Song and Regional Mexican Songs.
