Jet rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their blend of Exile on Main St. swagger and AC/DC-styled stomp, aligning perfectly with America's garage rock revival. Hailing from Melbourne, the quartet—guitarist Cameron Muncey, drummer Chris Cester, bassist Mark Wilson, and frontman Nic Cester—formed as the millennium began. Their 2002 vinyl-only EP, "Dirty Sweet," quickly sold out in Australia, sparking interest in the UK. An American deal with Elektra emerged in 2003, leading to the EP's US release in May. Following an opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Australia, Jet's debut album, "Get Born," dropped in November, fueling anticipation with its gritty, vintage hard rock sound.
