Illenium, born in 1990 in Chicago, rose to global fame as a DJ. After living in Seattle, France, and settling in San Francisco for high school, he entered the electronic music scene in 2008. Inspired by Bassnectar's performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2012, he focused on music. Moving to Denver for his career, he completed his EP at the University of Colorado Denver. Releasing his self-titled EP in 2013, he gained traction with remixes of hits like Florence and the Machine's "Over the Love." His debut album, Ashes, dropped as a free download in 2016, featuring chart-topping tracks. With recent releases like Fallen Embers, Illenium continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Additionally, in his personal life, he's engaged to Lara McWhorter.
